Job Title: Content Technician

Position Summary / Purpose
Assist in retaining customers by ensuring timely and effective delivery of services. Support content restoration processes while creating high levels of customer satisfaction. Uphold NorthStar Restoration Services' core values and mission.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify salvageable vs. non-salvageable contents.
- Identify salvageable versus non-salvageable content
- Photograph, identify and inventory customers contents
- Wrap, package and label contents for transport to cleaning facility
- Load transport vehicle for safe transport to cleaning facility
- Unwrap, assess and clean contents
- Re-package and label cleaned contents
- Maintain inventory of all processed contents and disposition in Contents Track
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Perform basic equipment maintenance
- Inspect completed work
- Complete daily log
- Return cleaned and restored property to customer when building restoration complete
- Maintain inventory of related supplies
- Load transport vehicle for safe transport to cleaning facility
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Skills: Basic math skills, computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, job management software).
- Certifications: IICRC certifications (or ability to obtain within the first year).
- Licenses: Valid driver’s license required.
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
- Team-lift heavier items (125 pounds).
- Work at heights using ladders or scaffolding (6–8 feet).
- Ability to wear and pass a respirator fit test.
Working Conditions
- Work in job sites affected by fire, water, or microbial damage.
- Exposure to noise, standing water, sewage, heat loss, and debris.
- Shop and job site environments with active equipment and ongoing tasks.
