Job Summary
The Production Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the manufacturing processes within our facility. This position is responsible for ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of production management principles, including MRP, lean manufacturing, and supply chain management.
Duties
- Lead and manage the production team to achieve operational goals and maintain a safe working environment.
- Oversee daily production activities, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with supply chain management to ensure timely availability of materials for production.
- Utilize SAP for effective tracking of production metrics and inventory management.
- Conduct regular quality control inspections to maintain product integrity.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all manufacturing processes.
- Train and mentor staff on best practices in plant management and lean methodologies.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in production management or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of MRP systems, SAP, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Familiarity with quality control processes and techniques.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on continuous improvement strategies.
- Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.
- Experience in plant management is preferred but not mandatory.
- A degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing technology, or a related field is advantageous.
