What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapy Receptionist/Aide position at NorthStar Physical Therapy?
We are looking for someone who wants long term employment as an appreciated and integral part of our business, who enjoys interacting with people and providing professional, welcoming, compassionate customer service. This position requires skills of multi tasking, prioritizing, attention to detail and efficiency. The job involves walking, standing and movement intermittently throughout the day. Our office is professional, friendly, and caring and our patients enjoy their time in therapy. Members of our staff interact well creating a collaborative work environment. We have 5 PTs and 2 office/clinic staff. Our billing is in house and our biller is at the front desk to assist with receptionist duties. This position is available immediately.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience in a physical therapy office is desired but we will consider applicants with scheduling experience in other outpatient medical offices.

SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES
- Front desk reception
- Answering the phone
- Calling and scheduling patients
- Assisting patients with questions and finding answers for them
- Helping disinfect and organize all areas of the clinic throughout the day
- Assisting therapists with patient related tasks if needed
- Entering patient intake and referral information into EMR
- Assist with verifying patient insurance benefits/coverage
- Communicate with therapists regarding scheduling
- Accept copays from patients and applying to their accounts
- Keep bathrooms clean and disinfected daily
- Washing and folding gowns/towels
- Assisting with office and clinical supply inventory
DETAILS OF POSITION:
- Part Time (25-30 hours)
- Monday-Friday
- Desired start time in the mornings at 7 or 7:30 a.m. (some flexibility)
- Paid holidays (6)
- 3 weeks paid time off begins accruing immediately
- Starting wage depends on experience and qualifications
