NorthStar Wealth Navigation, a Northwestern Mutual Private Client Group Firm is looking for an Operations Associate to streamline our Insurance and Investment processes. The key to this role is putting clients first and would best suit someone with a high attention to detail and a customer service mindset. Position Responsibilities:
· Specialize in client service and support
· Corresponding with clients to handle insurance and investment service issues
· Process incoming service requests from clients (address changes, bank change information, loan requests and ISA service inquiries)
· Process beneficiary and title changes for Insurance and investment accounts
· Prepare and process all paperwork needed for investment/advisory accounts
· Accept contribution/money movement requests from clients and process in proper system
· Communicate with home office, Brokerage Insurance Companies, NMIS and Fund Families
· Meet with clients to complete insurance related applications
· Review insurance applications, conversions and policy changes for completeness and accuracy
· Arrange medical, paramedical and any exams necessary for underwriting
· Manage applications through underwriting process
· Prepare insurance policies for delivery
· Contact and advise clients regarding late payments and other sales and service related issues
· Monitor Items for Attention (IFA) and bring any action items to the attention of the Operations Manager
· Initiate fund/NMIS transfers, exchanges and redemption requests
· Receive and process checks and related paperwork to the network office
· Maintain electronic client files by following established procedure for copies of paperwork, checks, etc
· Other duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications:
· Kansas Life and Health, SIE, Series 6/63 licenses preferred, but willing to work with right candidate to complete these within twelve months of hire date
· Financial Service or Insurance industry experience preferred
· Demonstrates ability to maintain effective working relationships and serve clients
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Able to practice active listening and communicate in a direct manner
· Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
· Manage multiple diverse projects and assignments in a timely manner without sacrificing quality of work
· Ambition to grow in role and work with a sense of urgency and accuracy
· Embraces change and works in a fast-paced environment
· Works both independently and on a client service focused team
· Ability to maintain confidentiality
Operations Service Associate Position Details:
Competitive salary based on skills and experience. Company paid health, dental, vision, life insurance, and holidays. 401(k)/Roth 401(k) with company match. After 90 days, employees are also eligible for paid time off. We support, pay for, and incentivize continuing growth and education. This role will work at our primary office located in Leawood, KS.
