Northwest ABA is currently hiring Behavior Technicians to provide 1:1 positive behavior support services to students in the Seattle Public School District.
In this school-based role, you’ll work directly in classrooms, partnering with school and district staff to support your students. Under the direct supervision and mentorship of a BCBA, you’ll implement Positive Behavior Support strategies to help support skill development, promote independence, and reduce barriers to learning in the classroom environment for your students.

Job Duties
- Implement individualized instructional programs based on the principles of Positive Behavior Support
- Uphold company policies whether present in school classrooms and/or in-home.
- Teach academic, cognitive, social-emotional, and adaptive skills to children with an autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities.
- Address challenging behaviors with supervision from a supervisor.
- Collect accurate and reliable data.
- Receive supervision from Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) / clinical supervisors.
- Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
- Comply with the company's administrative and clinical policies.
Daily Responsibilities
- Create a plan for each session and set up an instructional environment that best supports the client’s learning prior to the session start time
- Check-in with teaching staff prior to the school and debrief afterward
- Take data and write session notes for each school day
- Implement the programs created by your supervisor
- Address clients challenging behaviors
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- RBT and/or CBT certification is highly preferred, but not required
- ABA experience is highly preferred, but not required
- Experience working with individuals with autism and other intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred
- Bachelor's degree is preferred, but not required
- Willingness to travel up to 45 minutes each way for school services
- Desire to work with a culturally diverse group of professionals and students
- Commitment to providing the highest quality of care while maintaining client confidentiality
