ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Actively involved in deal structuring and financial analysis of customers to ensure appropriate risk management
- Perfect confidence of client conversation that leads to improved cross sell behavior for Treasury Management, Merchant Services, Deposits and Investment services
- Clearly articulate credit policy implications on deal viability, help to develop understanding of credit related items
- Develop and reinforce best practices for Small Business activity within branches
- Build digital marketing outreach plan for each branch within territory to reinforce COI development strategies and regular client engagement.
- Engage in formal on-boarding process to ensure each new salesperson receives comprehensive training in systems, process, credit policy and support tools
- Help deliver sales enablement tools and ensure they are being leveraged as utilized
- Provide expertise and support to LOB leadership team that drives deeper
- Inform strategic initiatives through bringing feedback from the field
- Engage in Joint calling with branches, in rotation, at reasonable frequency
- Work with DM to deliver “get to green” on zero branches, SB training needs. Present content on DM calls on monthly basis
- Expert utilization of CRM system to understand areas of opportunity within small business banking/retail teams and convey to leadership accordingly
- Participate in regional meetings as the spokesperson and SME related to small business banking initiatives, products and process within small business banking. Work in conjunction with LOB leadership team
- Identify ways to improve the small business banking process
- Suggest solutions in a timely manner
- Identify needs for small business banking skills improvement
- Set up and monitor tactical small business banking processes
- Stay current with latest business banking trends and best practices
- Manage deadlines and progress across the team to ensure goals are delivered on time and on budget
- Collaborate with management to develop individual coaching plans as needed
- Lead one huddle per week, in rotation, with branch partners
- Engage in onboarding of Small Business Bankers
- Develop and maintain close working relationship with credit team to ensure activities are aligned across the continuum
- Ability to establish effective working relationships among team members and participate in solving problems and making decisions
- Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to the audience, whether oral or written
- Ability to actively listen to what others are saying to achieve understanding, sharing information with others and facilitating the open exchange of ideas and information
- Ability to establish courses of action for self to accomplish specific goals, develop and use tracking systems for monitoring own work progress, and effectively use resources such as time and information
- Ability to make right decisions based on perceptive and analytical processes, practicing good judgment in gray areas
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or related subject preferred
- 8 - 12 years experience leading/coaching individuals/team with sales and performance goals
- 6 - 8 years experience in a supervisory role
- 8 - 12 years experience in facilitation of learning related events (formal and informal) both in person and virtually
- 8 - 12 years experience in design and creation of training and development resources
- 6 - 8 years experience in business cash flow, reviewing financials and deal structuring/recommendations
