Job Description:
- Repair and maintain various types of equipment using problem-solving skills to maximize performance, limit downtime per the need of the customer, with little to no supervision and in a timely manner.
- Inspect equipment to identify and troubleshoot the cause of errors. Perform repairs to address problems when necessary.
- Document and record accurate information daily regarding the errors found and repairs made to correct errors.
- Perform general physical activities that require moving your whole body such as climbing a ladder, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and squatting.
- Exposure to loud noises, dust, fumes and extreme temperatures.
- Have a positive attitude. Communicate with and treat your co-workers and customers respectfully.
Requirements:
- 3 years of diesel/gas maintenance experience.
- Specialized training and experience in the diagnosis/troubleshooting of engines, transmissions, and differentials. Understanding of air brake operation and experience in A/C R134a.
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
- Basic computer skills to fill out repair orders and read diagnostic information necessary to complete the tasks at hand.
- A valid driver’s license is required and must have your own transportation, CDLs are not required but a definite plus.
- The ability to work well independently and/or as part of a team.
- Demonstrate good planning/organizing to prioritize duties and use time efficiently as well as keeping the work area clean/safe.
- Attention to detail is a must! Don’t expect your coworkers to go behind you and find things you miss or clean up after you.
- Customer service and communication skills, verbal and written.
- Regular, full attendance and flexibility with hours depending on the customer’s needs.
- Welding experience - must know how to MIG, TIG and Stick weld effectively.
- MUST HAVE OWN TOOLS! If you're borrowing it, you need to buy one. The shop provides 3/4 drive sockets, 3/4 impact, 1" impact, tire tools, plasma, 2 welders, and a band saw.

- ¼ drive socket requirements: 4mm-15mm, 1/8-9/16
- 3/8 drive socket requirements: 7mm-22mm, 5/16-1"
- ½ drive socket requirements: 10mm-40mm, 3/8-11/2"
