What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Service Manager position at Northwest Community Action Head Start?
This position carries out the Family Service areas and coordinates these with other service areas of Head Start, following Head Start Performance Standards. He/she coordinates with parents, community resources, and Head Start staff.
· Overall responsibility for compliance with Head Start Performance Standards on Family Partnerships and other Family Services requirements.
· Overall responsibility for developing and updating the Community Resource Directories and distributing information to families to assist them in obtaining services needed.
· Work with staff and parents to develop a Family Partnership Agreement and follow-up Action Plan. Responsible for follow-up on needs identified by staff or parents by making referrals and providing information.
· Responsible for monitoring contact records and providing direction for staff in meeting the needs of families.
· Responsible for developing and implementing the Recruitment Plan of Action annually. This includes outreach, enrollment of children, and development of waiting lists.
· Cooperate with other managers to set up and implement other service area advisory committee meetings.
· Write Family Services Policy Council reports, assist in planning, guiding, and operating Policy Council Meetings, and follow through on programs planned by the Policy Council.
· Must coordinate or develop programs within the service area to meet the needs of families.
· Responsible for establishing/maintaining confidentiality of Family Services area records.
· Attend Head Start Staff Meetings and training sessions.
· Make Home Visits as appropriate.
· Assist with planning and carrying out parent meetings and training.
· Review parents’ Head Start activities and document In-Kind contributions.
· Work cooperatively with all Head Start staff to promote and work toward Head Start self-sufficiency goals.
· Collaborate and coordinate appropriate services with county social services, schools, and other agencies.
· Keep the Head Start Director informed of all problems, unusual, or extraordinary matters of significance that come to his or her attention so that prompt corrective action can be taken where appropriate.
· Adhere to the agency’s policy concerning data privacy.
· Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor.

Pay: $54,080.00 - $58,240.00 per year
