ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Interview applicant and analysis of request specified information for loan application determining proper options and products.
- Analysis of applicant credit reports, background checks, reference checks, and other information pertinent to loan applicant's evaluation.
- Analysis of applicant financial status, income, assets, investments, debts, credit, and property evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loan. Determination of options and financial solutions to best meet client need.
- Advising applicant regarding options, advantages and disadvantages of loan options.
- Determination of loan package and negotiation of loan structure with applicant, including fees, loan repayment options, and other credit terms.
- Determination of loan disapproval or approval for submission.
- Drafting and preparing loan agreements in complete and accurate manner.
- Responsible for loan closing and funding activities.
- Identifies and analyzes potential loan markets to develop prospects for Ag/Commercial loans.
- Understanding and advises loan manager of external factors that may affect established lending policies such as new or revised legislation and regulations. Recommends and implements appropriate changes to establishment policies and procedures.
- Promotes and cross-sells other established products and services as appropriate to customer requirements.
- Provides loan data to support marketing and sales promotion programs.
- Serve as lead resource for Ag/Commercial lending to branch managers.
- Provides prompt, courteous and accurate internal and external customer service.
- Completes required internal training in a timely manner and pursues continuing education and knowledge to enhance career and job satisfaction.
- Serves as a backup in assigned areas and assists other staff as needed and performs other duties as awarded by management.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Above average verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients customers, and general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel to outlying branch areas as business needs dictate.
