What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Professor, Accounting & Economics position at Northwest Florida State College?
Job Description
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Fulfill contractual obligations for full instructional load during fall and spring semesters.
- Provide excellence in instruction within the Business & Management Department for undergraduate students, including online courses.
- Provide excellence in accounting instruction, including but not limited to financial accounting, managerial accounting, payroll, taxation, and economics.
- Assist in development and evaluation of curriculum as appropriate.
- Utilize approved textbook(s) and / or other instructional materials as approved.
- Collaborate with administration, faculty, and staff to ensure student success.
- Provide student guidance and support.
- Engage in institutional service, professional development, and other duties as assigned by the Director of Business, Hospitality & Management, the Dean of Workforce Education, and / or the Vice President of Academic Affairs.
- Complete annual mandatory compliance training.

All degrees must be from a regionally-accredited postsecondary institution. This full-time position & is eligible for continuing contract status and is contingent upon board approval and funding.
