Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Assistant:
- Opens mail, dates stamps and logs invoices
- Completes end of day closings in Jonas
- Inputs codes for all payable invoices
- Computes lessons reports and investigates discrepancies
- Processes and mails weekly vendor and independent contractor check
- Files posted and paid invoices
- Reconciles credit card accounts
- Manages and reconciles petty cash
- Compiles and maintains credit applications for vendors
- Maintains vendor files
- Replenishes and orders postage for the postage machine
- Monitors, maintains, and replenishes office supplies\
- Maintains licenses, leases, and contracts
- Files annual 1099 reports
- Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications for the Accounting Assistant:
- Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of property management system.
