Position: Administrative Assistant
Reports to: Executive Director
Work Schedule: 220 days / 8 hr.
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Location: NWGA RESA (3167 Cedartown Highway Southeast, Rome, GA, 30161)
Salary Schedule: Commensurate with years of creditable experience ($26,600-$39,900)
POSITION OVERVIEW: Northwest Georgia RESA seeks to fill the position of Administrative Assistant.
This position will be responsible to:
- Perform general office duties, including answering phones, responding to emails, and handling correspondence
- Schedule and coordinate meetings
- Prepare agendas, meeting minutes, and reports as needed
- Maintain accurate records, databases, and filing systems (both digital and physical)
- Assist in planning and coordinating events
- Provide information and assistance to visitors, staff, and external partners
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and uphold professional standards in all interactions
- Process purchase orders, invoices, and other financial documentation in accordance with agency policies
- Monitor and maintain office supplies and equipment
- Order supplies, as needed
- Perform other duties assigned by the Executive Director
The Board of Controls and the Executive Director may accept alternatives to some of the above Requirements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma (associates degree or bachelor's preferred)
- Prior administrative or office management experience preferably in an education-related setting
- Strong management and organizational skills
- Effective written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain professional relationships with others
- Excellent technology, written, and oral communications skills

Physical Demands:
- Dexterity of hands, fingers to operate computer keyboard
- Hearing and speaking to exchange information
- Seeing to read a variety of materials
- Sitting for extended periods of time
