Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)

**Job Summary:**

Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Assistant Director of Nursing(ADON) assumes delegated responsibility and accountability for the provision of resident care according to professional and evidence based standards of nursing practice. The ADON is responsible for collaborating, directing, and coordinating the care and services of skilled nursing staff to meet resident needs.

**Duties:**

- Screens all admitted patients for risk of poor outcome

- Create and implement care plans

- Identifies in-house residents at risk for hospital admission

- Actively reviews residents on the critical list using assessment review with primary care nurse and UM to return the resident to the highest level of independence according to the POST plan of care.

- Identify patients with high risk diagnosis and implements care pathways.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, CREDENTIALS: Has a current RN nursing license and has graduated from an accredited school of nursing. Has strong organizational and time management skills. One year of professional nursing experience in a long-term care setting is required. Experience in a nursing administration position or comparable management position is mandatory.

Pay: $38.00 - $45.00 per hour
