Northwest Kidney Centers is hiring a Vice President of People & Culture. This is a full-time, hybrid opportunity, based in our Burien administrative location. Purpose :
Reporting to the CEO and working closely with other senior leaders of NorthwestKidneyCenters,theVPofPeople&Cultureprovides strategic direction and leadership in aligning people initiatives and programs with the overall business goals and vision of NKC and fostering a culture of equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging enterprise wide with employees and stakeholders while leading the organization through innovativepeoplepracticesandholisticemployeeengagementstrategies.Is pivotal in shaping the organization’s growth trajectory by championing a culture that fosters collaboration, innovation, inclusion, and employee development.WorkscloselywiththeExecutiveTeamandtheBoardofTrusteesinsupport of the CEO Compensation Committee.
DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES
- LeadstheHRteaminadoptingbothastrategicandoperational mindset to align people, mission, culture, and organizational strategies.
- Providessenior-levelleadershipandoversightforthedevelopmentand execution of all people strategies that foster employee engagement, nurtures talent development, and enhances organizational effectiveness.
- Develops,communicates,andadministersHRpoliciesandprocedures that maintain and improve employee relations and shape organizational culture.
- Assessesandadvancesemployeeengagementandsatisfaction,with particular attention to the experiences and needs of those in high-turnover positions.
- Proactivelyengagesemployeestoimproveworkingrelationships,build morale,andincreaseproductivityandretention.Communicatesopenly and frequently, keeping employees informed on department strategies, initiatives, benefit resources, organizational events, and other pertinent information.
- Providesleadership to manage andresolve complex employee relationsissuesandensureseffective,thorough,andobjective investigations.
- EstablishesanddeliversHumanResourcesprocessesandprograms across the full employee lifecycle, driving process efficiency and automation in operational systems. Builds productive relationships with vendors to ensure high-performance support and achievement of optimal outcomes
- Builds authentic, cooperative partnerships across the organization. Developsandmaintainsaspiritofcollaboration,meaningfulfeedback loops, and communication across the multi-location organization.
- Championsacultureofdiversity,equityandinclusionthroughoutthe organization and collaborates with other leaders to identify and implement programs to maximize opportunities for all employees.
- Assessesandforecaststheorganization’stalentneedstounderstand current and future leadership gaps and bench strength, and then design a comprehensive leadership development strategy to meet future needs.
- Developsacomprehensivetalentacquisitionstrategyutilizinginternal and external resources to attract and recruit a skilled workforce.
- Assists the organization in meeting human resources-related requirements as identified by CMS, DOH, and hospital certification bodiesforstaffinalllocationswhereNKCprovidesdialysisservices.
- CreatesastrategicplanfortheHRfunctionincludinginitiatives, staffing, metrics, developing and managing an annual budget.
- Reviewsandevaluatesdepartmentaccomplishmentsintermsof meetingbudget,quality, cost-effectiveness,andothergoalsand objectives.
- Serves as an executive leader of NKC by advising the CEO and other executivesonthehumancapitalimplicationsofbusiness,clinical,and program strategies during development and implementation.
- Evaluatesandimprovesthetotalrewardsfunction including benefits, salary structure, performance management, and education.
- Expertly leads the employee compensation, benefits, and wellness programsincludingcommunicatingwiththeCompensationCommittee, relevant agencies, and third-party administrators.
- InpartnershipwithEmployeeHealth,provideoversightforworkplace safety and workers compensation programs.
- Understandsandmonitorslocal,regional,andnationaltrendsin healthcare services and operations.
