What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager Assistant position at Northwest Mechanical, Inc.?
PM Assistant Construction is responsible for assisting the Industrial and Commercial Construction Division Project Managers with various tasks and projects related to purchasing, change orders, subcontracting, scheduling, etc. Reports directly to the General Managers of Commercial and Industrial Construction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist Project Managers (PM’s) in pricing material and contacting subcontractors
- Prepare and price purchase orders from estimating software or CAD material lists
- Assist PM’s in obtaining the best pricing from suppliers
- Assist PM’s with monitoring delivery status of equipment, fixtures, and miscellaneous materials
- Assist Accounts Payable with the matching of purchase orders with vendor invoices and research differences
- Audit accounts payable invoices for correct pricing
- Set up new job cost budgets/phases from estimate file or through PM instruction
- Write subcontracts to subcontractors, issue change orders to subs
- Take out permits for new jobs
- Process change orders
- Process submittals and shop drawings
- Process O&M manuals
- Other duties as assigned by management
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
