What are the responsibilities and job description for the FileNet P8 Engineer position at Northwest Partners?
Northwest Partners is partnering with a premier client in the insurance industry to hire an experienced full-time Enterprise Content Management (ECM) FileNet/P8/BAW Lead Engineer.
What YOU will do:
- Lead integration, infrastructure, and capacity planning efforts for FileNet/P8/BAW software hosted on an AWS platform.
- Resolve functional and technical issues within the FileNet/P8/BAW ecosystem.
- Design, configure, and maintain ECM assets using ACCE, Content Navigator, and Workflow tools.
- Monitor ECM performance using tools like AppDynamics and improve system stability and efficiency.
- Configure system alerts and generate reports using Splunk.
- Maintain and upgrade containerized deployments of ICN, CPE, BAW, and CMIS on EKS/AWS.
- Ensure software compliance with licensing agreements and regularly validate license counts.
- Review performance testing results to meet SLAs and provide recommendations.
- Support implementation of security protocols and access control for workflows and document classes.
- Create and maintain documentation including design specs, runbooks, and procedural guides.
- Develop and support custom CE event handlers, PE components, and ICN plugins using Java and JavaScript.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Middleware, DBAs, Project Managers, and Analysts.
- Provide after-hours support for critical issues related to FileNet/P8.
- Deliver large-scale projects on time and within budget.
What YOU will bring us:
- 5 years of experience configuring and administering FileNet/P8/BAW (Cloud Pak) with hands-on development in Java/J2EE.
- FileNet/P8 certification is required.
- 3 years of experience developing full-stack Java/J2EE applications using JMS, Web Services, XML, SQL, SpringBoot, Spring Batch, Microservices, Python, and JDBC.
- Deep knowledge of ECM architecture including ICN, CPE, CF, BAW, CMIS, FDM, and ACCE.
- Experience maintaining both on-prem and containerized installations on AWS EKS.
- Familiarity with performance monitoring tools (e.g., AppDynamics) and reporting tools (e.g., Splunk).
- Skilled in designing and configuring IBM Workflows and integrating with Java and REST APIs.
- Experience with DB2 or PostgreSQL within the FileNet ecosystem.
- Scripting experience for automated ECM deployments using Git, Jenkins, and similar tools.
- Strong communication skills and an eagerness to learn new technologies.
- AWS certification is a plus.
- Experience with IBM Enterprise Records (IER), Kofax, or similar imaging/scanning tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory, GitLab, etc.
