About the Job:
As a Customer Experience Specialist in the NRS Flagship Store, you’ll be the face of NRS for visitors from throughout the Northwest, the United States, and the world. You’ll ensure that each and every person who walks through our door enjoys the friendliness, expertise and outstanding service that define NRS. You’ll provide professional-grade equipment and apparel that empowers adventures on the water, and you’ll offer expert advice and guidance to support our customers on their journey. This role requires someone who is passionate about the outdoors with a background in paddlesports or strong desire to learn. Both full-time and part-time positions are available.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
- Delight NRS customers by providing the best possible in-store experience
- Support retail/wholesale will-call orders
- Works with Visual Merchandising lead(s) to maintain visual standards
- Build rapport with people inside and outside the organization
- Merchandise during downtimes: folding, hanging, steaming & stocking
- Provide expert advice to customers to help them find the right gear
- Handle product returns with our Hassle-Free and Rock-Solid Guarantee in mind
- Handle inventory transfers/stocking orders with the highest level of accuracy
- Maintain and manage cash flow with the highest level of accuracy Operate within multiple software systems to manage/complete customer information
Qualifications & Requirements :
- Outdoor enthusiast with interest in learning about all things paddlesports
- Proactive mindset and creative problem-solving skills
- Friendly and positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Ability to work independently without losing the teamwork mentality Availability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings and some weekends

Physical Requirements :
- Able to stand/walk for extended periods of time on the sales floor
- Continually able to reach overhead, bend, squat, kneel and carry products necessary for customer service, inventory stocking and store merchandising Able to lift up to 50 lbs
Preferred :
- Strong boating background 6 months customer service/sales experience in any industry
