We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team. The Dispatcher will be responsible for scheduling rides, coordinating with drivers, and ensuring smooth communication between clients and drivers.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the dispatch of freight and transportation resources efficiently.
- Utilize logistics and analysis skills to optimize routes and delivery schedules.
- Maintain effective communication with drivers and clients via phone and digital platforms.
- Input and manage data in transportation management systems and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Monitor and track shipments using GIS and GPS technologies, addressing any issues that arise.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to enhance overall transportation planning and execution.
Qualifications
- Strong logistics and dispatching skills
- Excellent communication and phone etiquette
- Proficient in typing and data entry
- Familiarity with transportation management systems and supply chain processes
- Experience with GIS and GPS technology
- Knowledge of freight operations and fleet management
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
- Experience with Oracle Transportation Management and AS400 systems
