What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Itinerant Teacher for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing position at Northwest Special Education Cooperative?
Northwest Special Education Cooperative is seeking a part-time Itinerant Teacher for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing for placement in the Jo Daviess/Carroll County region for the 2025-2026 school year.
The successful candidate will:
–
provide direct service per the IEP process to those students who have identified hearing loss;
–
serve as a consultant to school personnel;
–
evaluate students who have been referred through the appropriate channels;
–
and promote interest in and an understanding of the implications of a hearing impairment.
Qualifications:
Valid Illinois Teaching Certificate with an endorsement for working with Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
Salary/Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including mileage reimbursement, educational assistance, and professional development money. A stipend is also available for this position, to be paid over two school years.
