Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a compassionate Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Post Surgical Unit as our newest Hospitalist!
This part-time position will be night shift and benefit eligible!
As a Hospital, you will function as an independent healthcare provider who, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team, is responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients in an inpatient setting. You will use your clinical expertise in working with the patient population in the specified specialty.
In this role you will use the scientific process and national standards of care as a framework for managing patient care. You will make an assessments of post-surgical patient's health status, educate patient and/or patient's family, provide continuity of competent care, and you will support research that supports evidence based practice specific to your patient population focus, as well as in the areas of pharmacology, disease prevention, epidemiology, medical technology and more.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Current licensure in the State of Idaho
- Master's or Doctorate's degree from accredited Medical Program
- Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification upon hire
- Must be able to achieve ACLS certification within six months of employment
- Ability to relate and work effectively with others
- Prior experience with Joint Commission continual readiness
- Five years of experience highly preferred
