What are the responsibilities and job description for the SCHEDULING COORDINATOR - AXIS SPINE position at Northwest Specialty Hospital?
Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented, customer service focused, Scheduler to join Axis Spine Team!
In this role you will be responsible for registration and pre-registration of new patients, prepare pre-registration packets, call patients for preregistration notice, register patients and update medical records as needed, enter and retrieve information from ITS and PACs; prepare and present the paperwork for clinical procedures done at Axis Spine. You will need to maintain accurate records associated with the scheduling, and the processing of patient documentation and utilize the automated systems to support the scheduling functions. You will need to project a professional demeanor and appearance while maintaining the confidentiality of patients, coworkers and Northwest Specialty Hospital as appropriate.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- High school diploma required.
- One year of prior clerical experience in a medical setting strongly preferred
- Knowledge of basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent skills in interpersonal communication to ensure ability to build relationships with physicians or their support staff
- Knowledge of insurer and payer processes
- CPR/BLS or obtained within first ninety days of hire
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment required.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing required.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines required.
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 codes and medical terminology preferred.
