Job Summary :
As the Federal Tax Counsel, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and expertise on all federal tax matters for our client. As a federal tax SME, you will work closely with stakeholders to ensure compliance with federal tax laws and regulations, as well as identify opportunities for tax savings and efficiencies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax law and a deep understanding of federal tax codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on all federal tax matters
- Stay up-to-date on changes and updates to federal tax laws and regulations
- Conduct research and analysis on complex tax issues
- Draft and review legal documents related to federal tax matters
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to identify tax savings opportunities
- Assist with tax planning and strategy development
- Represent clients in federal tax audits and disputes

- Train and mentor junior tax team members
