Job Summary :
As the Manager Corporate Tax you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our clients corporate tax compliance and planning. You will work closely with teams and authorities to ensure our clients tax obligations are met while also identifying opportunities for tax savings and process improvements. This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires strong leadership communication and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage and oversee all aspects of corporate tax compliance including federal state and local tax returns extensions estimated tax payments and tax audits
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their business operations and tax needs
Identify tax planning opportunities and provide strategic recommendations to minimize tax liabilities and maximize tax savings
Stay uptodate on tax laws and regulations and communicate any changes or updates to clients
Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals providing guidance and training as needed
Collaborate with other departments such as finance and legal to ensure tax implications are considered in business decisions
Manage taxrelated projects and initiatives ensuring timely and accurate completion
Conduct research and analysis on complex tax issues and provide recommendations to clients
Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy in tax compliance and planning
Communicate with tax authorities and respond to inquiries and notices as needed
Assist with tax due diligence for mergers acquisitions and other business transactions
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field; CPA or advanced degree in Taxation preferred
At least 5 years of experience in corporate tax compliance and planning preferably in a managerial or supervisory role
Strong knowledge of federal state and local tax laws and regulations
Excellent analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Detailoriented and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
