Northwest Technologies, Inc. provides metal manufacturing and fabrication for a wide range of industries.
We are currently looking for qualified candidates for a General Shop Laborer/Sandblaster position on our DAY shift (Monday-Friday 06:30am-03:00pm, 40 hours/week).
What you can expect to do:
- Work where needed, often changing from day to day independently and amongst a team
- Move, stack, store and transfer materials, supplies, and merchandise
- Be responsible for overall housekeeping and maintenance of safety standards
- Be responsible for operation and daily maintenance of any tools and machinery used
- Accurately count parts and complete data entry
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, cranes, hand tools, and precision measuring tools
- Blasts parts to clean and remove chemicals and agents and prepares for powder coating.
- Dusts off products with air gun.
- Ensures all jobs are cleaned, prepped, and ready for powder coating.
- Understands and is able to recognize surfaces for painting readiness including the presence of grit.
- Works with production staff to ensure best practices are implemented.
- Understands company cosmetic workmanship standard.
- Performs all other duties as assigned, which may include racking, washing, shipping, receiving, and/or powder coating.
What you bring to the table:
- At least one year of experience in a warehouse environment
- Forklift experience
- Mechanical skills
- Have reliable and predictable attendance
- Be self-motivated and self-directed
