What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adolescent Services Specialist position at Northwestern Counseling & Support Services Inc?
NCSS is seeking a dynamic team member to support adolescents in Franklin and Grand Isle Counties. The position will provide clinical mental health case management services to encourage positive youth development. Roles and responsibilities include: supporting youth with career counseling, educational obtainment, leadership skill building, navigating housing insecurity and accessing housing supports, as well as numerous other services in advancing skills supportive of transition to adulthood. Ideal candidates will be collaborative, detail-oriented and possess a strength-based approach to working with adolescents and their families. Knowledge of mental health and substance abuse is preferred. Candidates should be self-motivated and organized to work independently and be a collaborative part of a team. Flexibility in hours is needed as there may be some evening or weekend commitments. Bachelors Degree in the Human Services field, valid drivers license, passed background checks and reliable transportation are required.
