Description
Be part of an exciting initiative to help integrate mental health supports within law enforcement. As a Mental Health Crisis Specialist, you will have the opportunity to respond alongside law enforcement officers when individuals are in crisis. We are seeking an individual with a bachelor’s or master’s degree and relevant clinical experience to work closely with the Vermont State Police.
Candidate will be able to help support individuals with a variety of mental health challenges or that are experiencing a mental health crisis. Ideal candidate will be able to easily connect with a variety of people needing support to help navigate various systems of care, coordinate with other community providers, provide supportive counseling, and track data related to co-responses with law enforcement. Candidate will also help cover some non-traditional hours, primarily evenings and some weekends. This position works closely with our NCSS Emergency Services Team, as well as other teams across our agency.
Position offers excellent benefits, a flexible work schedule, and supervision towards licensure is available. NCSS is located close to interstate 89 and is 30 minutes commute from Burlington.
