Position Information: The Radiation Therapy program is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Radiation Therapist with a passion for educating and mentoring the next generation of professionals in the field. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced therapist to gain valuable experience in the educational side of Radiation Therapy while working alongside experienced educators and clinical professionals. This position will work closely with students, providing guidance and expertise in the field of radiation therapy, while helping to foster a supportive and engaging learning environment.
This is a part-time, non-benefits eligible, adjunct position.
Work Location: Bloomington, MN in-person
Course Assignment Specifics: Serve as a lecturer and lab instructor for Treatment Planning 1 and Principles and Practices 2 courses.
Duties:
- Apply effective teaching strategies and multiple teaching techniques; teaching and modeling appropriate level learning skills and creating an environment conducive to learning.
- Engage students with learning activities, collaboration, and student-centered learning
- Provides students with timely and clear feedback.
- Effective classroom management and presentations are well planned and organized.
- Teaches the course to the syllabus and learning outcomes with relevant content and experiences to enhance the learning environment.
- Demonstrates a professional rapport with adequate verbal and written communication skills with students.
What you need to have?
- ARRT Registered Radiation Therapist, R.T.(T) required
- Bachelor's degree required or in progress
- Training or teaching experience, preferred
- Strong communication skills and student centered in your approach to education

Compensation:
$1,300 per academic credit.
The hiring rate reflects a candidate with a bachelor's degree and at least 5 semesters of college- level teaching experience. Candidates with less experience or a higher/lower degree level will have their rate adjusted accordingly.
