Position Information: The College of Health and Wellness at NWHSU is pleased to offer a full-time Clinical Coordinator faculty position in our Radiation Therapy Program. The successful candidate will share our vision of becoming a premier provider of Radiation Therapy Programs in the Midwest and will help advance that vision through their teaching. Faculty members will also contribute to the integrative health focused mission of the University, encouraging learning across all disciplines.
Through online and in person educational models and using the latest technology, this individual will help mold the next generation of Radiation Therapists. NWHSU recently invested in a dedicated virtual linear accelerator lab to enhance and support instruction in the program.
The Clinical Coordinator responsibilities will account for 25% of this role and teaching will account for 75% of this role. This full-time position will have both direct instruction and lab teaching responsibilities and will be assigned courses to teach in the program each trimester.
This is a year-round, faculty position where academic rank and compensation will be determined by qualifications and experience.
Work Location: Bloomington, MN with flexibility to work 1-2 days per week remotely; must live local and be able to come to campus as needed.
Course Assignments May Include: RTH 2290 Clinical Training, RTH 3291 Clinical Training, and other courses assigned from the RTH curriculum to fulfill the 75% teaching requirement.
Duties:
- Manage course curriculum, design, development, and delivery to create an engaging and meaningful student learning experience.
- Achieve technological literacy, knowledge, and innovative use of modern teaching technologies including active learning and the use of computers and multi-media in lectures, laboratories, and distance learning environments.
- Manage course and programmatic records such as enrollment, grades, student performance in a timely manner as set forth by the university, division, and college.
- Participate in events, programmatic meetings, and committee work as determined by the Program Chair or Dean.
- Participate in professional and occupational development to maintain a depth of understanding in the Radiation Therapy field and contribute to current knowledge of the discipline
The Clinical Coordinator will oversee placement of clinical interns and manages clinical site relationships.
- Develops clinical/laboratory requirements, including objectives, assignments, evaluation tools, and schedules.
- Assigns students to clinical rotation(s).
- Works with chief therapists to plan, schedule staff/student learning experiences.
- Compile clinical site/supervisor evaluation scores at the end of the semester/academic year.
- Monitor student clinical hours and radiation safety badge reports
What you need to have?
- Bachelor's degree, required
- Registered Radiation Therapist, R.T.(T), required
- Clinical experience, required
- Teaching experience, preferred
- Experience in a JRCERT accredited radiation therapy education setting/clinical supervisory

Compensation:
$54,000-$68,000 (Instructor/Assistant Professor); $64,000-$80,000 (Associate Professor); the rank of Full Professor may be considered based on qualifications and experience, with salary determined by market data and internal equity.
Academic rank and compensation are determined by a combination of education, related professional experience, and internal equity considerations. NWHSU is committed to fair and equitable pay practices and does not base compensation decisions on gender or any other protected status.
