NMC is currently recruiting for a Patient Access Representative in Central Registration. This position is a full-time (80 hours bi-weekly Mon-Fri and 1-2 weekends a month) position. The offices are open 0545-1900 Mon-Fri and there are reduced hours Sat/Sun.
JJOB SUMMARY:
The Patient Access Representative in Registration facilitates the flow of patients and patient information by providing clerical support and data retrieval and dissemination to patients, providers and other health care professionals within the continuum of care. This is achieved through effective oral and written communication, precise data entry, and critical thinking to support stakeholders throughout the process.
PREREQUISITES:
Education: HS diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree preferred.
Experience: 3 years of experience in a medical office preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and typing skills required. Must be detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks.
Skills: Must be able to understand written and oral instructions pertaining to scheduling and physician requests and demonstrate critical decision making to manage these requests. Ability to work with people in a pleasant and tactful manner. Must have excellent computer skills.
