Job Description
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM (Works Rotating Weekends and Works Holidays)
- Location: Feinberg/Galter; FL MZ
The Resource Coordinator Patient Escort reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
The Resource Coordinator Patient Escort facilitates the scheduling and training of Dispatchers and Escorts. Additional responsibilities include electronic (TeleTracking) reporting, assisting with daily supervision, and transporting patients when volumes are heavy.
Responsibilities:
- Assesses transportation needs for assigned shift and monitors activities to ensure patients as being moved in a safe and timely manner.
- Responsible for running and maintaining key reports through the Patient Escort software (TTI), including response times and employee productivity.
- Assists in the coordination of employee scheduling, both long-term and daily needs.
- Serves in a support capacity for employee timekeeping, reporting (Kronos).
- Identifies and communicates critical situations involving the transport of patients, blood, or specimens in accordance with departmental standards.
- Transports patients when volumes are heavy.
- Performs Dispatch functions if necessary.
- Operates, monitors all aspects of Electronic Transport software system; including entering requests, altering priorities, request audit, employee breaks, and appointments for diagnostic testing.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to speak, spell, read, write and understand English.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact well with patients of all ages.
- Must have exceptional patient relations skills
- Must be able to work under stress in a fast-paced environment.
- Must demonstrate reliability, punctuality and good attendance.
- Ability to be on feet for the majority of the day.
- Excellent hygiene is a necessity.
- Must have no lifting restrictions.
- Enrollment in BLS training course within 2 months of hire and successful completion within 3 months.
