OVERALL FUNCTION
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented support specialist for a progressive financial planning practice. This position is within a large local insurance and investment practice associated with a national firm with over 160 years of history. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to the advisor and office manager, ensuring efficient operation and excellent client service.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· Administrative Support
o Coordinate and schedule appointments for the advisor with current clients.
o Client file preparation and retention.
o Maintain client confidentiality.
· Insurance Operations Support:
o Manage insurance process which includes:
§ Pre-filling & pre-checking applications for completeness & accuracy.
§ Submitting applications.
§ Scheduling requirements & medical exams.
§ Monitoring underwriting & take action on cases needing attention.
o Process, or collaborate with others to complete risk product service requests such as name & address changes, beneficiary changes, updates to Insurance Service Accounts to facilitate the collection of payments, etc.
· Marketing Campaign Management:
o Manage marketing campaigns targeting both new and existing clients.
o Help create and generate referral lists for the advisor.
· Investment Operations Support:
o Learn and utilize investment software to support advisor’s needs and onboard new investment clients.
o Service existing client’s investment accounts.
· Client Proposals:
o Assist in the preparation and organization of client proposals.
o Prepare investment proposals and interact with clients as needed.
o Manage social marketing websites and other digital marketing efforts.
· Additional tasks & responsibilities as requested by leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Life, Accident & Health insurance licenses (within three months of hire, self-study, materials provided)
· Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance or related field preferred. Will consider other degrees or prior work experience.
· Series 6 or 7, and 63 preferred, and/or willing to obtain within six months of hire. (self-study, materials provided)
· Strong analytical, problem solving, and written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong organizational & time management skills with the ability to set priorities & meet deadlines.
· Strong attention to detail, accuracy & reliability with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
· Ability to assess client financial situations & analyze portfolios to develop & implement comprehensive plans aligned with client goals. Intensive training provided.
· Willing to work independently with minimal supervision once properly trained.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- No weekends
