Northwestern Mutual is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Campus Recruiting Coordinator to support the execution of our campus recruiting efforts. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring a seamless recruitment process by helping coordinate and plan for campus events, sourcing internship candidates from online platforms (such as Handshake and LinkedIn) and providing administrative support to the campus recruiting team. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, has a commitment to follow-through, and passionate about delivering an exceptional candidate experience.
Primary Responsibilities
Recruiting & Selection Support
- Input, maintain, and update candidates daily through our applicant tracking system.
- Sourcing and engaging student talent through social media platforms (such as Handshake, LinkedIn, and Indeed) as well as university partnerships.
- Coordinate booking candidate interviews on the Campus Recruiters’ calendars, sending Outlook meeting invites, and email correspondence of meeting reminders and next steps.
- Manage ordering inventory of swag for both campus events as well as intern award gifts.
- Coordinate community and campus career fairs alongside the Campus Recruiters.
- Assist in updating recruiting spreadsheets within Excel.
- Other ad hoc recruiting tasks as needed.
Marketing
- Prepare event materials, promotional content, and recruitment collateral.
- Coordinate and execute recruitment promotions/campaigns (mailings, publicity, etc.)
- Partner with, and assist in managing, the Northwestern Mutual – Minneapolis social media pages, with a content-posting cadence.
- Collaborate with marketing and recruiting teams to enhance employer branding efforts on campus.
Contract & Licensing
- Assist in the candidate’s completion of contract and licensing paperwork with the College Unit Directors and District Developers.
- Coordinate details of office set-up for new interns (desk, phone, business cards, stationery, supplies, etc.)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in recruitment coordination, HR, or event planning is preferred.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, and a high attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for campus events.
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting Salary: $50,000
