Job Summary
The Lead Advisor role will be responsible for growing and managing client relationships, creating, preparing, and presenting financial plans and investment strategy recommendations for our clients. This role will collaborate with the firm’s Senior Lead Advisors and existing support team to create and implement a seamless client experience of financial planning and investment strategies.
The Lead Advisor role is committed to having a deep understanding of the following: accountable for timely and accurate delivery across all process areas; exceptionally proficient in role, solve complex problems, seek stretch goals or responsibilities, and understand how to get things done. They will collaborate with and be sought out by others.
Key Responsibilities
Client Service and Relationship Management
- Serve as the principal contact for client relationships
- Makes critical client decisions such as creating, preparing, reviewing, and presenting financial plans
- Leads the implementation of planning decisions, assigns client service steps to the planning and investment teams and continually reviews for improvement opportunities
- Responsible for the quality control of client deliverables such as plans, analysis and presentations
- Communicates proactively and consistently with clients to identify changes in their financial lives and needs that should be met
- Maintain high level of professional expertise and continues to learn new processes, theories, and best practices to service clients
Business Development
- Leverage key marketing resources and tools provided by the firm
- Engages existing database to deepen relationships
- Responsible for actively pursuing new client relationships
- Responsible for creating and cultivating Loyal Client Advocates and Professional Advocates
- Develops specialized knowledge that fits within the strategy of our firm
Growth and Development
- Maintain state licenses, continuing education, designation requirements, outside business activity & disclosures
- Manage goal tracking and accountability reporting
- Adhere to standard operating procedures that maintain compliance as a competitive advantage
Job Qualifications
Required
- Life & Health, SIE, Series 7, Series 63 licenses (preferred in advance, required within 6 months)
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- Experience in sales, client services, or client-facing roles
- Microsoft Office proficiency
Preferred
- Designation(s) - CLU®, ChFC®, RICP®, WMCP® or CFP®
- Relevant financial services industry experience
- Northwestern Mutual experience
