Job Summary
The Planning & Portfolio Manager will be able to identify opportunities within our client’s financial plans to consolidate assets, improve their risk vs. reward position and implement the unique tools we have as a part of our financial planning. You will help our clients feel confident in their investments and their financial security. In addition, you will be responsible for standard operating procedures which allow our practice to grow and scale with the core philosophy that it is first good for the clients and then productive for our business. The responsibilities of our Planning & Portfolio Manager include portfolio research and trading of our client accounts and models, maintaining a timely understanding of the markets our clients are invested in, being available to answer client questions and providing key information on decisions our team makes. Key Responsibilities
· Understand wholistic planning and all the solutions available to clients
· Understand and recommend solutions to gain financial security across all product lines
· Research, build, & manage investment portfolios and track their performance for clients and prospective clients
· Place & implement trading and process rebalances in our client accounts based on client requests and our research and recommended market moves
· Manage and implement Variable Annuity portfolios that cross both sides of the business
· Oversee & manage client taxes in investment accounts and harvest gains or losses as appropriate
· Create, learn, and communicate investment commentary to clients as needed
· Manage and grow our relationships with other financial product partners
· Understand and execute our firm’s planning philosophy and planning process
· Ability to use firm planning philosophy to develop well thought out recommendations
· Communicate with advisors and support teams for cohesive client experience
· Be a master of our available investment software and cashiering functions to support our clients and business
· Speak directly with clients to provide technical explanations of our investment process and what specifically impacts each client, when it does
· This requires a knowledge of the traditional fund options and alternatives that may be better suited because of our clients’ unique situations
· Ensure compliance requirements are implemented and followed
Minimum Job Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree required
· SIE & Series 7, Series 65/66 required
· Receive Life and Health within 90 days of employment
· CFA designation preferred – desire to obtain designations required
· Financial services industry experience required – Northwestern Mutual experience preferred
· Ability to maintain confidentiality
· Able to work both independently and on a team
· Ability to embrace change and work in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to manage multiple diverse projects and assignment in a timely and quality manner
· Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
