In collaboration with the current recruiting team, and direction from the Managing Director, this role is responsible for the District Office’s recruitment and selection efforts and will execute office recruiting plans to reach activity and full-time contract goals.

The process of sourcing, recruiting, and selecting financial representatives is conducted and continuously improved by this individual. The recruitment team is primarily responsible for building high-level, quality relationships in the community and to promote the Northwestern Mutual career, generate referrals and develop centers of influence (COI’s). They play a key role in culture building, creating and leading the recruiting plan to reach activity and contract goals. Goal driven, grit, exceptional communication skills, and being team oriented, are critical in this position.

This position is in our Portsmouth, NH District Office; this is not a remote opportunity.

Primary Responsibilities

Sourcing & Selection

  • Build and develop effective referral sources with Financial Representatives/staff, develop productive centers of influence (COI’s) in the community, and develop qualified lead strategies from a variety of sources (i.e., referrals, COI’s, advertising, career fairs, social media, etc.)
  • Actively participate in community clubs and organizations to promote and brand Northwestern Mutual
  • Develop relationships with other Northwestern Mutual Recruiters to share leads and best practices
  • Selection process accountability to include but not limited to screening candidates, conducting initial interviews, administering selection tools, and guiding candidates through the selection process
  • Review resumes and schedule initial interviews; effectively communicate with candidates
  • Promote the benefits of office growth and recruiting successes within the office
  • Develop and coordinate advertising and marketing strategies to include ads, direct mail, community events, etc.
  • Maintain integrity and consistency of the selection process
  • Identify and lead implementation of improvements to the selection process

Accountability, Tracking, and Analysis:

  • Report weekly recruiting activity to leadership team
  • Develop proficiency and use of home office-supported software to maintain candidate databases and accurate records of prospects to ensure efficiency of the selection process
  • Assist in the coordination of leadership team meetings and the preparation of activity/results reports
  • Analyze recruiting ratios to identify inefficiencies in selection process; establish and implement improvements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • One to three years professional work experience, preferably in sales, recruiting or financial services
  • Strong personal network and/or community involvement in the New Hampshire Seacoast to leverage from a recruiting perspective
  • Demonstrated ability to work professionally as a team member and with all levels of people
  • Experience with prospecting; generating leads via phone or face-to-face interactions preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
