Job Description

The responsibility of the Technology Productivity Consultant (TPC) is to develop the effective use of technology within the network office territory and integrate the use of new and existing technologies into the financial representative's practice and workflow of all NO staff. The TPC will apply a holistic approach when providing consultation within the network office to ensure that individual role based goals and efficiencies are driven through the use of technology solutions. The TPC is a full-time on-site resource responsible for the coaching, mentoring, adoption and training of technology to representatives and staff in network, district and detached offices.

Coaching:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key field roles including FRs, their staff, Network Office (NO) Staff and leadership to understand their individual business needs.
  • Establish relationships at all levels within the network (e.g. work with new FRs and Forum leaders alike) through demonstrated command of the FR fact finding process.
  • Coach and consult to more advanced concepts when advising FRs or staff on technology use. (e.g. able not only to advise on proper data input to PPA, but can also consult on how to leverage specific module output with clients appropriately.)
  • Tailor consultative approach so that the specific benefits for each unique audience who will be using the technology are clearly demonstrated and understood. Identify specific gaps in efficiency where the financial representatives can apply use of new or existing technology to improve their practices.
  • Articulate why technology is important and reinforce the improvements and benefits that will be realized through integration of technology. Ensure financial representatives and impacted NO staff roles comprehend the specific benefits the use of technology will offer (e.g. increased productivity through time savings, increased sales, recruitment, improved client experience etc.)
  • Partner with, and independently develop sound recommendations to NO leadership to assist them in establishing goals.
  • Then lead planning to ensure goals are attained and benefits realized. (e.g. increase field or recruitment productivity, capitalize on expense/revenue benefits through staff redeployment/reduction based on efficiencies gained etc.)
  • Create an informed engagement plan to drive improved use of technology to better enable NO to attain goals and related benefits within the network, district and detached offices.
  • Performance against plan will be measured with the aid of technology adoption metrics prepared and provided by the home office.

Mentoring:

  • Serve as a mentor and lead others within the network office who handle technology coordination duties.
  • Ensure new financial representatives and/or key network office staff receives basic introduction and ongoing guidance of key technologies to support the functions of their position, the sales cycle and their individual career growth within their assigned role in the network.
  • Partner with Network Office (NO) and Home Office (HO) leadership to ensure a consistent message to all impacted key field roles for promoting the proper use and integration of technology and proven business building benefits.

Follow Through:

  • Develop individualized action plans with impacted key field roles to help them optimize technology in their business practice.
  • Follow-up to ensure that technologies are integrated properly into the financial representative's practice or Network Office (NO) staff workflow to drive intended benefits and overall optimal productivity improvements.
  • Evaluate progress made by the individual who consultation occurred with.
  • Determine progress to establish next steps for continuing business efficiency and growth.

Training:

  • Plan, schedule, and facilitate classes using proven curriculum to leverage technology as a productivity tool.
  • Collaborate with appropriate resources to ensure relevant technology education is provided to the financial representatives and their staff.
  • Partner with the Network Office (NO) training staff and where appropriate participate in sales school sessions to promote and deliver usage strategies on key technologies needed for a successful financial representative's business practice.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies to support overall network office, home office and individual financial representative's goals through the successful integration of technology into practice or appropriate workflow management.
  • Support technology rollouts making users aware of benefits, preparation and training needed for successful deployments. Attend mandatory classes, including teleconferences and training sessions to keep current with changing technologies.
  • Report outreach and effectiveness to corporate and local management teams.
  • Promote Program benefits and services to continuously build outreach to financial representatives, their staff, network office staff, field leadership and home office.
  • Act as a liaison between field and home office to provide feedback on business technology and application rollouts.
  • At TPC level should be able to play an instrumental role that would allow for network office's successful participation in initial pilot or rollout efforts.
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in business or an equivalent combination of education and/or progressively responsible work experience.

Experience can run concurrently or in addition to each:

  • 3-5 years of consultation experience working with professionals in financial services or similar industry with demonstrated ability to build/develop relationships at various position levels through a consultative model.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in coaching/training individuals how to optimize their business through the use of technology is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of three years of coaching and training experience preferred
  • Minimum of five years financial services industry experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to understand software technology focused on sales practice and the ability to articulate the benefits and uses to select audiences
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Proven ability to consult and drive measurable improvements in an outcome based model. (E.g. prior demonstrated ability to drive % increase in adoption, sales etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate groups of people.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
