Position Summary
The Spa Treatment Manager oversees the spa providers and spa functions, to include training on all products and services.
Job Duties
- Oversees and assists in the training of new spa providers.
- Oversees and assists in conducting training for all services, to include massages, facials, body services, and salon services.
- Conducts regular training on SOPs, Forbes and TLC brand training.
- Maintains training attendance records and prepares the spa monthly training calendar.
- Acts as manager-on-duty on a scheduled basis.
- Conducts weekly walk through of treatment rooms and storage areas. Inspects treatment rooms to ensure all standards are met, including linen, treatment beds and equipment.
- Conducts professional treatment room and product inventory checks.
- Educates team members on retail products, promotes retail sales and ensures sales are recorded accurately.
- Reviews daily revenues.
- Prepares accurate rooming lists on a daily basis, ensuring the treatment rooms are utilized to their maximum potential.
- Inspects all equipment and facilities on a regular basis. Submits engineering work orders as needed and follows-up to ensure work has been completed.
- Conducts monthly spa provider meetings to address policies, procedures, scheduling and any concerns regarding spa operations. Prepares written minutes and distributes to all providers and spa leadership.
- Attends daily spa stand-up meetings, weekly leadership meetings and hotel stand-up meetings when needed.
- Interviews and conducts practicals of all prospective spa providers.
- Conducts annual performance reviews and tier reviews of all spa providers.
- Coaches and counsels team members, preparing timely written warning notices as needed.
- Works with the Assistant Spa Director, Spa Manager and vendors to create exciting incentive programs for spa providers.
- Orders spa treatment and professional related products on a monthly basis. Reviews invoices for accuracy and submits to accounting in a timely manner.
- Conducts bi-weekly stock checks for all professional products.
- Conducts end of month inventory, including stock count of all professional products used by providers and sold in the retail store.
- Conducts quarterly reviews of treatment and product sales. Tests and evaluates new product lines with Spa Director.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred
- Three years of previous spa experience, preferably in a luxury setting
- Training experience
- Current North Carolina license in massage, esthetics or cosmetology preferred

- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and direct the work of others
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to pay close attention to detail
- Experience using Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk and move about the spa throughout shift, talk, hear, reach, kneel, bend, sit, grasp and perform repetitive motions
- Ability to push, pull, lift, carry or otherwise move up to 25 lbs.
