Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising.
- Monitor the health and behavior of pets, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff.
- Maintain cleanliness in kennels and common areas, adhering to sanitation protocols.
- Assist with animal restraint during examinations or treatments as needed.
- Ensure that all animals receive appropriate socialization and attention.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their animals' needs and behaviors.
- Support veterinary technicians and assistants during medical procedures when required.
- Keep accurate records of animal care activities and any incidents that occur.
Experience
- Previous experience in pet care or animal handling is preferred, including roles such as Veterinary Technician, Veterinary Assistant, or Kennel Staff.
- Familiarity with animal restraint techniques and basic veterinary care is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with pet owners and provide them with information about their pets' care.
- Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
