School Nurse

Northwood School has an anticipated opening for a School Nurse to begin in January 2025. Northwood School provides a comprehensive educational program including students with diverse medical and educational needs.  The health office is a fast paced and dynamic environment that provides the opportunity to have positive and long-lasting impressions on students and staff. Applicants must have NH Department of Education certification or be able to obtain and prior nursing experience in a school setting preferred. 

General responsibilities:

• Assumes responsibility for appropriate assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, and referral activities for students with regards to managing health.
• Provides for the promotion of health as well as the prevention of illness.
• Responsible for the direct and indirect care given to student in compliance with school district policies, professional standards, physician orders, and any other school or health based plans as appropriate.
• Functions in accordance with School District policies and all other applicable statutes and Code of Ethics.
