Job Description

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Job Specialty : Telemetry

Job Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 07 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM, every other weekend

Guaranteed Hours :

Experience : Minimum of 2 years in acute care RN experience

License : Registered Nurse

Certifications : BLS, NIH

Must-Have :

IV insertion
Blood draws
PICC / Central Line management
Trach care
Traction
Epidural / PCA pumps
Feeding tubes
Continuous bladder irrigation
Wound vac
Managing heparin drips
Ambulating new post-op patients
Foley catheter insertion
NG tube placement
Ability to read tele strips
Ability to titrate medication

Job Description :

Work with a dedicated team focused on urological, colorectal, and med-surg care.

Provide care for patients undergoing procedures such as bladder resections, colon resections, cysto with TURPS, and transmetatarsal amputations.

Manage a patient ratio of 5 : 1, sometimes extending to 6 : 1.

Utilize and manage equipment such as IV pumps, rolling walkers, and gait belts.

Administer medications, including IV antibiotics, pain medications, hypertension medications, and blood thinners.

Document patient information using EPIC charting.

Wear galaxy blue scrubs, which are not provided by the facility.

Be part of a unit that prides itself on teamwork and excellent management support.
