Nortons is looking for a professional and responsible host for our daily restaurant operations.
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Host/ Hostess to join our team in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. As a Host/ Hostess, you will play a crucial role in providing outstanding customer service, ensuring that each guest feels welcomed and valued. You will be responsible for greeting and seating guests along with maintaining reservations and cashier functions. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and seat them at there reserved table and provide them with menus.
- Maintain reservations through online portal
- Deliver food and drinks promptly to tables while ensuring proper presentation.
- Assist guests with any inquiries about the menu or specials.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely communication of updated seating and turn times.
- Handle guest complaints professionally and efficiently to ensure satisfaction.
- Process payments accurately and provide change as necessary.
- Support team members in various tasks as needed to enhance guest services.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and calculating bills.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is desirable.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
