Field Service Technician
Norwalk Concrete Industries has been a successful precast concrete company for 117 years and currently employs over 120 employees between two production plants under third generation ownership. We are a current member of the National Precast Concrete Association and have been certified for more than 25 years. Position Responsibilities to include but are not limited to the following:
- Servicing, installation, troubleshooting and repairing lift stations, meter vaults, wastewater treatment plants and related types of stations.
- Provide detailed analysis and equipment/system recommendations to repair/maintain system performance and integrity.
- Completing daily work reports.
- Potentially maintain a service vehicle with proper equipment, tools and parts to perform servicing and installation of equipment.
- Projecting a positive and professional image to customers, vendors and co-workers
- Technical and mechanical skills
Qualifications for position to include:
- Related job experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Multi-craft and/or technician experience desirable
- Be able to lift to 50 lbs.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Knowledge of tools
- Knowledge of PVC and ductile iron piping and fittings
- Electrical knowledge, must be able to read wiring diagrams, be able to wire equipment into control panels, use of a clamp on meter for electrical measurement
- Valid driver’s license, must be able complete a drug test and background check
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, climb for long periods of time repeatedly
- Must be able to work with heights up to 30 feet
- Everyday local travel, occasional scheduled overnight and/or weekend work required
Starting pay range based on evaluation.
