Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Treatment Coordinator to join our Dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing patient treatment plans and ensuring smooth operations within our medical or dental office. This position requires strong administrative skills, proficiency in insurance verification, and familiarity with medical office management systems such as Athenahealth and Meditech. The Treatment Coordinator will be the primary point of contact for patients, guiding them through their treatment journey while maintaining a high level of customer service. Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient treatment plans by collaborating with healthcare providers and administrative staff.
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits for patients, ensuring accurate information is communicated.
- Manage patient scheduling and follow-up appointments to optimize workflow.
- Maintain organized patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with clerical duties such as answering phones, responding to inquiries, and managing correspondence.
- Utilize medical office management systems (e.g., Athenahealth, Meditech) to input data and track patient information.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing concerns and questions regarding their treatment.
- Ensure the office environment is welcoming and efficient for both staff and patients.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dental office setting a must.
- Strong administrative skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in insurance verification processes and understanding of various insurance plans.
- Familiarity with medical office management systems such as Athenahealth or Meditech is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Knowledge of hospital systems and clerical functions related to patient care is an advantage.
