Join our dynamic Asset Management Group as a Trust Associate!
In this role you’ll work out of our Congress Street office and will support the AMG officers in their day-to-day administration and service of management accounts, trusts, endowment funds, charitable accounts and retirement accounts.
Essential Pieces of the Position:
- Answers client inquiries on a timely basis by applying a thorough knowledge of the trust accounting system.
- Maintains a high level of communication with clients and prospects.
- Complies with established policies and procedures for all aspects of trust/asset management services.
- Prepares all cash work, including paying bills, transferring funds to and from NSB and non-NSB client accounts. Communicates with Outsourcing Provider to assure cash work is completed in a timely manner.
- Opens new accounts, including setting up accounts on the trust accounting system, establishing account files, preparing and submitting reports to TMIC following procedures for opening new accounts.
- Closes accounts, including notifying Outsourcing Provider, preparing and submitting reports to TMIC and following procedures for closing accounts.
- Collects, prepares and distributes monthly TMIC meeting materials and quarterly Trust Committee meeting materials.
- Prepares weekly reports for department staff.
- Supports and maintains the AMG section of The HUB.
- Organizes client events by mailing invitations and tracking responses.
- Acts as Project Manager for AMG when needed.
- Maintains the AMG scans folder on a weekly basis.
- Performs general administrative duties in the areas of mail, correspondence, phone calls and record keeping.
- Actively participates in community organizations and events, representing the bank in the community.
Our Candidate Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree or ABA Personal Trust Diploma or related financial experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years trust administration or related financial experience.
- Strong computer skills, with specific experience in word processing, spreadsheet and presentation applications.
- Good organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and client management skills.

Working Conditions:
