Summary/Objective:
The Career Pathways Counselor for Pathways 2 Prosperity (P2P) provides individualized, strength-based counseling and case management to participants at all stages of program participation. This role supports participants through personalized coaching, essential skills workshops, community meetings, and multi-tiered interventions designed to promote workforce readiness, financial empowerment, and personal growth. The Career Pathways Counselor collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to ensure participants’ holistic needs are met, fostering self-reliance and economic mobility.
Essential Functions:
· Provide individualized strength-based career and financial coaching to participants, assisting them in identifying and overcoming barriers to success
· Facilitate group-based workshops and sessions on topics such as workforce development, financial literacy, and personal empowerment
· Collaborate with participants to develop personalized employment plans with measurable goals and outcomes
· Conduct resource navigation to connect participants with community services, educational opportunities, and workforce development tools
· Maintain accurate and timely case notes and data entry in compliance with program standards and funding requirements
· Participate in the design, implementation, and evaluation of program components to ensure alignment with participant needs and program goals
· Gather data to identify trends, challenges, and areas for program improvement
· Establish and maintain strong relationships with community organizations and stakeholders to support participants' needs
· Represent Norwescap at community events, forums, and networking
· Provide ongoing support and follow-up to participants to ensure sustained progress toward goals
· Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance service delivery
· Remain current on all Norwescap policies and change initiatives, and participate in trainings and development opportunities as required and/or available
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Education, or a related field preferred. A combination of relevant education and experience will be considered
· Experience in social work, case management, counseling, or a related field strongly preferred
· Familiarity with community based- education, and/or workforce development programs strongly preferred
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications required
· Fluency in verbal and written Spanish preferred
· Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation required
