SUMMARY:

Norwest Contractors is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, processing lien releases, and handling essential administrative tasks. This role is pivotal in ensuring the financial health and efficiency of our operations, supporting both our internal team and external clients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES other duties as assigned

· Accounts Receivable Management: Ensure timely and accurate processing of incoming payments, maintain detailed records, and resolve any discrepancies.

· Accounts Payable Management: Verify and process vendor invoices, ensure prompt payments, and maintain comprehensive records.

· Lien Release Handling: Prepare and file necessary documentation for lien releases, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.

· Supply Ordering: Manage inventory levels of office supplies, place orders, and ensure timely replenishment to support daily operations.

· Mail Management: Oversee daily pickup and drop-off of mail, ensuring efficient distribution and handling of all correspondence.

· Bank Deposit Processing: Accurately record and process bank deposits, maintain financial records, and reconcile accounts.

· Record Storage Maintenance: Organize and securely store financial documents, ensuring easy retrieval and compliance with record-keeping policies.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

· 3 years’ experience in QuickBooks experience (desktop or online)

· 3 years’ experience processing Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable

· Construction experience preferred but not required

· Associate degree or similar work experience equivalent required

LANGUAGE SKILLS

· Fluent in English

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
