Norwesta seeks an experienced Organic Farm Laborer to join our team on a small, self-sustaining family farm.
Responsibilities
We are looking for someone who is flexible, adaptable, and willing to perform manual labor for various farm tasks, including seeding, harvesting, and facility maintenance. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience with organic/sustainable farming methods, simple construction and repair of farm buildings and fencing, and repair and maintenance of farm tools and machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform manual labor for various farm tasks, including seeding, harvesting, and facility maintenance.
- Assist with the upkeep of farm equipment and tools.
- Contribute to the overall success of our small, self-sustaining family farm.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent verbal communication skills (English only).
- A willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities and conditions.
- Knowledge and experience with organic/sustainable farming methods.
- Familiarity with simple construction and repair of farm buildings and fencing.
- Ability to repair and maintain farm tools and machinery.
- A comfort level working around chickens, horses, and livestock guardian dogs.
Bonus/Commission Structure
In addition to part-time wages, qualified candidates will be eligible for bonuses/commissions on sales.
