Summary
We are currently searching for a Distribution Supervisor to join our World class Distribution Center in Whitestown, IN. This position is responsible for the designated Operational & Distribution Financial aspects of the distribution center including manpower & supplies budget performance, project management, manpower planning, and order Fulfillment through Picking and packing. Ensuring accuracy, timeliness, cost effectiveness & compliance of product movement for all orders.
Responsibilities
- Provides a safe, healthy and secure work environment for employees by continually addressing all ergonomic and security issues
- Maintain a balance of Cost vs. on-time shipments by leveraging manpower to meet the budgeted Plan & hourly goals for the distribution center.
- Ensures accuracy, timeliness, cost effectiveness compliance of product movement for all orders.
- Works with Inventory team to ensure accurate inventory levels and slotting.
- Ensures orders ship within the Company service levels while maintaining high quality and high customer satisfaction ratings.
- Help develop / maintain cross-training, educational programs & career advancement opportunities for employees. Accountable for employee relation concerns including policy communication, accountability, and conflict resolution.
- Provides a positive workplace environment focused on a “win as a team” mindset.
- Works with other departments to ensure orders are shipped out accurately and customer needs are being met. This includes Marketing, Supply chain, IT, Inbound, and Quality.
- Assists in WMS/WCS testing, development, upgrades, and continued stability monitoring.
- Ability to handle and embrace changes timely.
Qualifications
- 3 years of direct management experience in a high-volume/high pace distribution center. E-commerce experience required.
- Experience building teams and mentoring leaders.
- Experience performing in a goal setting environment
- Proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint programs
- Practical, hands-on experience with a WMS/WCS software. Including conveyance, sortation’s, scanners, sensors, and controllers.
- 2 years of Pick to Light and Putwall Experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal skills including group presentations.
- Written communication skills including financial and operational reports.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Ability to stand and walk for long hours.
