The Conference Services Team Leader will be a key liaison to our summer conference business and will work to facilitate excellent customer experiences. Under the supervision of the Conference Services Manager, this position will work alongside our summer camps and programs.
Norwich University is seeking an individual who will make an excellent contribution to this coming summer's 2025 Conference Services team. Given the human interactions through working with people of all ages - Team members will be expected to show polite and mature social skills. Overall, given the schedule of the busy summer, Norwich University is looking for individuals who are responsible, organized, reliable and determined. This is a temporary full-time position leading into the month of August. Overtime, including evenings and weekends is required at times.
- Checks in daily with each summer camp and program.
- Distributes of linens, pillows, blankets, fans and window screens to assigned dorm rooms.
- Picks up and sorts linens, pillow, blankets, fans and window screens after a group departs.
- Washs blankets and pillow covers.
- Performs conference room inspections for overall appearance and cleanliness.
Job Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record, and pass the University's vehicle training
- Ability to maintain a professional and composed demeanor at all times and to diplomatically deal with challenging situations, environments and people, while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, and prioritization skills
- Ability to work within a team and to work independently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated skill in juggling multiple competing tasks and demands.
- Must pass a post-offer, pre-employment background check and physical exam
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, and Outlook)
- Able to sit, squat, reach, push, pull, and manipulate related equipment; lift 50 pounds; travel outdoors to various parts of the campus
- Work some evening or weekend hours
