Job Description:
Norwichtown Rehabilitation and Care Center is seeking a highly energetic and motivated Therapeutic Recreation Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate will assist in planning and implementing therapeutic recreational activities that promote the well-being of our residents. The assistant will work closely with the Therapeutic Recreation Director and other team members to create a positive and engaging environment for long-term care residents.
Qualifications:

High School Diploma required

Experience in long-term care or recreation is beneficial, but not mandatory

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work well in a team environment and interact with residents compassionately
Responsibilities:

Assist in the planning and delivery of recreational programs and activities

Support residents during group and individual activities

Help create a stimulating and enjoyable atmosphere for residents

Ensure activities are tailored to the interests and needs of residents

Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress
